Today I share with you another beautiful collaboration with Kiaraln. Also this time we talk about jewels. I look for and select my collaborations by doing particular searches on Instagram and other social networks and when I saw Kiara's profile I was immediately attracted by her creations.
What attracted me the most is the charge of passion and originality that shines through her creations. I really like the necklaces from the Ring Collection and the sweet hedgehog "NipoTino".
As I always say, I am also very attracted by packaging and packaging. the packaging of Kiaraln jewels are very beautiful, handcrafted with a lot of attention. They are very specific indeed. So I decided to do a little interview to understand how her jewels were made and how this passion of hers was born.

1) Raccontami qualcosa di te ...
Ho
città, visitare posti nuovi e adoro i tramonti dell'Isola d'Elba. Compro
1) Tell me something about yourself ...
I worked for years as a company clerk immersed in accounts and marketing but I always kept my creative vein alive. I have a large family including brothers, cousins and nephews, I am the mother of a teenager and granddaughter of a grandfather who was one of the courageous Chinese pioneers who arrived in Italy in the late 1920s. One of the first entrepreneurs integrated in Florence, married to a Florentine and whose surname I still bear. I like doing physical activity, I like music, I play instruments for pleasure, I like stories and anecdotes of true stories of characters from the past, the history of my city, visiting new places and I love the sunsets on the Island of Elba. I buy books but in the little time I have left I usually fall asleep on them and therefore I wish I could read more.

Ho iniziato creando collane per me.
creazioni prima in cera e poi in bronzo:
e tante altre idee.
2) When was your passion for jewelry born?
I started by making necklaces for myself. An industrial style, assembling brass door openers and nuts and joining them with golden and bronzed lamè threads using the crochet technique. They are my necklaces from the "Rings" Collection now embellished with worked circles, pearls and earrings to match.
Later and by chance I came into contact with goldsmith techniques by meeting a goldsmith craftsman, a great artist who, at my request, cut my favorite mineral, pyrite with which I wanted to have a pendant made.
Seeing my necklaces and my first creations, he offered to show me how to start creating a jewel and the various processes to get to the finished product.
And so I was an observer in his laboratory. I learned how to carry out all the processes for investment casting and the creation of the plaster cast for the fusion in the various precious metals and to follow the creation of the rubbers as a mold to produce the prototype in larger quantities.
I am passionate and I never stop learning and refining my knowledge.
My creations first in wax and then in bronze were born from microfusion:
the collection dedicated to hedgehogs: the Hedgehog NipoTino and the Riccino Nino with related rings, bracelets and pendants and also my rigid bracelets from the Classic Imperfect collection, the Tubes rings, the Imperfect Heart and now the "curled" Riccino Nino is about to come out and many other ideas.

3) Cosa rappresenta per te la tua attività?
E'
3) What does your business represent for you?
It's my hobby, my passion that I want to make my business. It is a great source of energy and positivity. Creating, inventing and imagining also stimulates me in other areas of my life and I think it makes me better.

e smerigliati. I miei gioielli presentano irregolarità volute.
interessanti.
4) What is the main feature of your jewels?
The main characteristic lies in the simplicity of the forms and the constancy of their imperfection. The bracelets are hammered, the circles scratched and sanded. My jewels have deliberate irregularities. Life isn't perfect and personalities are all so different and that's what inspires me. I don't like the standard and I hope to find more and more people who appreciate my imprint.
For my subjects the characteristic is the nice aspect and I find them decidedly Pop. What do you think about it? They must exude positive energy.
Even my packaging is decidedly Pop Vintage. I personally make it with post-war Grazia magazines (1949-51) creating sachets with satin bows or colored raffia and trying to keep the articles of the time or the most interesting images in view.

5) Is there a particularly significant jewel for you?
The most significant, which I particularly care about is the Hedgehog NipoTino, the pendant. It is the first subject that has an important source of inspiration full of affection and succeeded, after several attempts with wax, just as I had in mind.

o in ottone.
6) What materials do you use for your jewelry?
For the jewels that I make with the lost wax technique, I use specific waxes of various types and hardnesses that I model. I then deliver them for casting and moulding. From here they will be reproduced in bronze or brass. For working directly on the metal I use all the tools of the trade and welding materials. I am currently introducing minerals as well and let's see what collection can come out.
Then for my necklaces with circles and brass components I use gold and bronzed lamé threads working them with the crochet technique.

Ottima
compagnia ed energia per chi lo indossa. Allegro, spettinato e
scapigliato!
7) Very nice hedgehog "NipoTino" the good luck charm, disheveled and disheveled ... how was he born?
As I anticipated, my hedgehog has an inspirational source full of affection. The hedgehog NipoTino exists and is an adorable creature who, upon awakening from hibernation, spent the summer in the company of a dear friend of mine and his cats, even eating kibble from their bowl and resting on their sofa.
I also later discovered that the Hedgehog is the bearer of many positive meanings and therefore an excellent amulet that represents:
Energy, Vitality, Ability to take care of oneself, Fertility, Protection Defense, Resourcefulness.
The hedgehog is a good lucky charm and that's why I turned it into a jewel. Great company and energy for the wearer. Cheerful, disheveled and disheveled!

8) Three adjectives to define you
Undoubtedly curious, passionate and dreamer (even with open eyes)
Undoubtedly curious, passionate and dreamer (even with open eyes)
9) Hai sogni nel cassetto?
Ho
9) Do you have secret dreams?
I have several dreams in the drawer. First of all since we're talking about it, it's to not give up, work to make myself known and consequently transform my hobby into my business.
The others are in the drawer and in my mind. Fingers crossed.

10) Do you have a motto in life?
I don't have a motto in life. I have many reference phrases and aphorisms that have value for me in various moments of life.
Surely a phrase that always applies to me and is a truth is "The morning has gold in its mouth" and another "Imperfection is beauty"
